Turning Stone Resort Casino threw a giant, invitation-only party Saturday night to celebrate the opening of its Grand Expo. The Grand Expo is part of Turning Stone’s $400 million expansion, its biggest ever, that includes the addition of luxury hotel The Crescent and fine dining restaurant, Salt.
The Expo features a 30,000-square-foot ballroom and doubles Turning Stone’s existing convention and conference space.
Turning Stone leadership has said the expansion, dubbed “Turning Stone Evolution,” will allow the facility to host more weddings and attract larger conventions, competing with traditional destination cities such as Orlando and Las Vegas.
Saturday’s black-tie gala featured a who’s who of Upstate and Central New York, including local leaders in sports, medicine, politics and business.
