The Oneida Indian Nation will create 200 to 300 new jobs when the latest expansion of its Turning Stone Resort Casino opens later this year.
The 258-room Crescent Hotel and the Salt Seafood & Raw Bar are scheduled to open June 29. The Grand Expo, a new convention center facility, is set to open on Labor Day.
Joel Barkin, vice president for strategic communications and community engagement for the Oneida Indian Nation, said hiring will start in March for the new jobs and ramp up as the new attractions debut. The 200 to 300 new jobs will be created over the next couple of years, he said.
With 5,200 employees, the federally recognized Indian nation is already one of the biggest employers in Central New York.
