Tax Relief Nebraska is confident it has enough valid signatures to put two petitions to legalize online sports betting in the state on the Nov. 3 ballot despite Lancaster County’s top election official flagging some of the signatures as potentially fraudulent.

In late June, Tax Relief Nebraska submitted more than 201,000 signatures for a petition to amend the state Constitution to legalize online sports betting, and roughly 146,000 signatures for another petition to change state statute to establish a tax framework for online sports betting revenue.

Jordan McGrain, one of the petition sponsors, said Monday he is confident there will be more than enough valid signatures for both petitions to make the Nov. 3 ballot.
