From the windows of the four-story Fairfield Inn and Suites and Townplace Suites you can see the horses thundering along the track at the Harrah’s Racing and Casino in Columbus.
A short walk in a hallway from the hotel complex puts you in the casino and racing venue with all its amenities. St. Louis-based Midas Hospitality developed the dual hotel concept under the Marriott banner. Local family-owned Foreman Lumber built the hospitality venue which celebrated its grand opening in June.
The casino and horse racing venue came about following the passage of three Nebraska constitutional amendments in 2020, which legalized casino gambling adjacent to horse racing venues in the state.
