MSG Networks will air a sports-betting–focused simulcast of the New York Rangers game against the St. Louis Blues tonight. It will mark the first time the network produces such a simulcast of an NHL game. The broadcaster has aired eight BetCasts of New York Knicks games (five last season, three so far this season), but tonight’s game marks the first NHL game to get the sports-betting–simulcast treatment. The BetCast will air tonight at 7 p.m. on MSGSN, alongside the traditional Rangers telecast on MSG.
MSG Networks has already produced eight total BetCasts for Knicks games, but tonight will be its first NHL effort.
Behind the scenes, a dedicated production crew will be located in a separate control room tonight.
