If you’re out-and-about in Missouri communities over the next few months, you may be met by someone asking if you’re in support of a state-regulated casino at Lake of the Ozarks.

Osage River Gaming & Convention (ORGC), the investor group behind the petition, hopes to gain enough signatures to get the question on this November’s ballot.

They have until mid-April.

The ballot question would ask Missourians whether they would like to change the state constitution to allow a casino on the Osage River, to add an additional (14th) gaming license to the current number of 13 set by state statute, and to earmark state tax revenues from that casino for teachers’ salaries.
