The Minnesota Indian Gaming Association (MIGA) released a new report highlighting the substantial economic contributions of Minnesota’s tribal enterprises and governments.

According to the report, tribal enterprises and governments generate $860 million in earnings and benefits, support more than 16,800 jobs statewide and provide nearly $2 billion in additional annual multiplier output. The report, which was conducted by KlasRobinson Q.E.D., is based on data from MIGA member tribes, with supporting/supplemental data from published information.

The economic impact of these enterprises extends far beyond Minnesota tribal communities. Minnesota tribes are major economic players in their local economies – in most cases they are the single largest employer in their respective regions.
