Grand Traverse Resort & Casinos has changed its name to Grand Traverse Band Economic Development Corporation, the organization announced Monday.
According to the Sept. 8 news release, the new name reflects a return to the corporation’s original identity and signals its continued growth, diversification, and commitment to driving economic opportunity for the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians.
For decades, the company has been recognized as a leader in hospitality, entertainment, and gaming in Northern Michigan, operating Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel, Leelanau Sands Casino & Lodge, Crystal Shores Casino, Beach Fire Cannabis, and Grand Traverse Resort and Spa.
