Massachusetts’ online lottery has recorded $1.6 million in wagers from players in its first 24 hours of operation, with thousands of dollars won.
Officials recorded US$1,626,187 across the Mass Lottery Online website and app. Among the wagers placed, the lottery also reported multiple winners – including one player who won $1,000 in the first three hours after launch. Another player won roughly $5,500 while playing a “lamp-themed game,” while at least five others won prizes of more than $1,000 on the first day.
