The number of visitors to Macau continues to rise, with total arrivals in the first three months of 2026 increasing by 13.7% year-on-year to 11,213,904.
According to information from the Statistics and Census Service, the primary source of visitors in 1Q26 was mainland China, with 8,388,921 visitors, up 16.4% year-on-year. Visitors from Hong Kong also grew by 1.8% year-on-year to 1,783,763 and from Taiwan by 29.1% to 285,464.
International visitor arrivals totaled 755,756 in the first quarter, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 10.7%. Among these, visitors from South Korea (184,938) and the Philippines (131,749) recorded year-on-year growth of 7.4% and 4.1%, respectively. Likewise, visitors from Malaysia totaled 48,903, showing a significant year-on-year surge of 70.5%.
In the first quarter, same-day visitors amounted to 7,007,320, representing a year-on-year increase of 20.3%, while overnight visitors numbered 4,206,584, up 4.1% compared to the previous year.
