According to the Macao SAR Official Gazette, a large-scale extension project planned for Wynn Palace that will see the addition of a new luxury hotel has been approved, subject to a contract premium payment of MOP$652 million (US$81 million) to the government.
As announced during Wynn Resorts’ 1Q26 earnings call earlier this year, Wynn Macau Ltd will construct a brand-new, all-suite hotel featuring 432 rooms alongside its flagship integrated resort in Cotai, Wynn Palace.
Government data shows that the land was originally intended for a theater and an event center. However, Palo Real Development Company Limited, a subsidiary of Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A., submitted a new preliminary proposal on 17 January 2025, planning to expand the Wynn Palace complex and construct a new hotel tower.
