A woman who allegedly used fake Social Security numbers to collect several jackpots at multiple Baton Rouge casinos in a scam that started in 2020 was arrested this week.
In October 2024, L’Auberge Casino notified the Louisiana State Police Gaming Enforcement Division of an incident involving 43-year-old Shamika Brown of Alexandria, according to a State Police announcement.
The initial investigation revealed that Brown used several fake Social Security numbers to obtain 16 jackpots of more than $41,000 in 2020 to pay overdue child support to the Department of Children and Family Services.
