Wednesday was the hottest-ever March day in Las Vegas, a record that will likely be short-lived as Thursday was expected to swelter under even higher temperatures.
Harry Reid International Airport reached 94 degrees Wednesday, surpassing the previous all-time March high of 93 that had been set March 26, 2022, the National Weather Service’s Las Vegas forecast office reported on X.
“If people are visiting Vegas this weekend, they just need to prepare for the heat, make sure they’re hydrating,” said meteorologist Brian Planz. “This is going to be unusual for this time of year. ”
The forecast high for Las Vegas on Thursday is 97 and 98 for Friday and Saturday.
