The Golden Gate Casino in downtown Las Vegas, the city’s oldest casino, has transitioned to an all-virtual gaming floor, eliminating human dealers in favor of high-tech electronic games.

Owner Derek Stevens expressed enthusiasm for the change, stating, “It’s about double what our projections were, so we feel pretty happy about it.”

Stevens noted that the shift towards electronic gaming began during the COVID-19 pandemic but received little media attention until now.

The move is part of a broader marketing campaign, “The Night Starts Here,” aimed at attracting both tourists and locals, including the 86 million Gen-Zers in America who are accustomed to electronic games.
