A Southern Nevada business-booster group has changed its name. The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance announced Friday that it is now the Las Vegas Regional Economic Partnership.
According to a news release, the new name completes an “identity reset” called for by the group’s strategic plan adopted in June by its board.
The group — one of several regional authorities contracted by the state to fuel economic development in Nevada — said Friday that its mission, partners and services “continue without interruption.”
Danielle Casey, president and CEO of the organization, said in the release that the name tells a site selector, chief executive, elected official or community member “exactly who we are and who we represent.”
