Elite Casino Resorts will mark the rebranding of Catfish Bend Casino and FunCity Resort with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 4, unveiling the property’s new name, Great River Casino Resort and FunCity.
Guests visiting the casino that evening will receive a free T-shirt featuring the new resort logo.
The company announced the rebrand Tuesday, saying the new name honors the Mississippi River and reflects continued investment in one of southeast Iowa’s largest entertainment destinations.
Under the new branding, Great River Casino Resort will encompass the property’s casino, hotel, dining and event operations, while FunCity will continue as the family-focused brand for the indoor amusement center and outdoor waterpark.
