A new bill by State Sen. Justin Busch (R-Fort Wayne) would allow a casino to be built in Allen County.
The proposed legislation is the second bill proposed for the 2026 legislative session that would lead to the construction of a casino somewhere in the county.
Busch’s bill comes just days after State Rep. Craig Snow (R-Warsaw) introduced legislation in the Indiana State House to allow a casino development in Allen County. However, there are some differences between the house and senate versions of the legislation, as they currently stand.
Senate Bill 70 would allow the move of the Rising Sun Casino from Ohio County to Allen County. House Bill 1038 would instead add an 11th casino license instead of relocating an existing license.
