A scam targeting casino players is making its way across the Coast. The scam asks bettors to consider an online sportsbook.
Golden Nugget General Manager and Vice President Chett Harrison said scams like these can be hard to catch.
“It’s difficult. I’ve looked at some of them that I couldn’t even tell the email address was different until I slowed down to check it,” said Harrison. Harrison recalled another scam when his casino was targeted, where the scammers offered vouchers for their hotel.
“They were given fifteen hundred dollars for signing up online,” said Harrison. ”If it’s too good to be true, it probably is.”
