Irish-owned US gambling firm FanDuel has injected millions more dollars into a lobby group hoping to shape the outcome of America’s upcoming mid-term elections.
FanDuel has pumped an additional $7.5m into a so-called Super PAC, Win for America, in recent weeks, according to new filings with the US Federal Election Commission.
FanDuel is part of Flutter Entertainment, which also owns Paddy Power. FanDuel is the biggest sports betting operator in the United States, while Flutter is the largest online gambling company in the world.
The new filings confirm that FanDuel’s contributions to the Win for America Super PAC (political action committee) have now reached $27m. Between January and March this year, it had contributed $19.5m.
