Sports betting operator Fanatics has signed a deal with the NFL to become its official sportsbook ahead of the new season, following the expiration of multi-year partnerships the league held with other operators.
Sports Business Journal senior writer Bill King was the first to break the news, adding that an official announcement between Fanatics and the NFL is expected to go live before the season begins on 9 September.
Under the deal, Fanatics is expected to be promoted across various NFL-branded media channels, including dedicated air spots during live broadcasts. King also explained that the operator will receive hospitality assets and work on premium fan experiences across the Super Bowl, the NFL Draft, and other NFL-related events.
