A former employee of MGM National Harbor & Casino has been indicted for a scheme in which she allegedly helped players cheat and steal money from the casino
State’s Attorney for Prince George’s County Aisha Braveboy held a news conference Thursday afternoon to provide details.
She said the 31-year-old woman identified as Jamie Smith was working as a Blackjack dealer when she engaged in the scheme.
From Oct. 2 through Oct. 8, 2023, Smith was caught on surveillance video conspiring with three players to cheat. Braveboy said she allowed players to see their cards before placing their bets and to change their bets after placing them.
