The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a lawsuit against Baltimore’s Horseshoe Casino and its associated businesses, alleging they fired a disabled employee and failed to provide legally required workplace accommodations.

The lawsuit, filed against Horseshoe Casino, Caesars Baltimore Management Co. LLC and Caesars Entertainment Inc., alleges violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act, including discrimination and retaliation. Horseshoe Casino and Caesars Entertainment did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

According to the EEOC, a table games dealer at the Baltimore casino became ill while working in April 2023 and was taken to a hospital. The employee later underwent disability-related surgery and requested legally required accommodations upon returning to work.
