In its first year of operation, WarHorse Casino Lincoln has seen some $47 million in gross gaming revenue and generated $9.5 million in taxes, providing millions to a state property tax credit cash fund and to the city of Lincoln and Lancaster County.

In that year, there have been just a negligible 78 police calls to WarHorse, a number lower than some predicted and an amount that caused Lincoln Police Capt. Don Scheinost to tell the Journal Star, “I don’t think the casino is causing us any undue heartache.”

In the first six months of 2023, when both WarHorse Casino and Grand Island Casino Resort were open, the average number of people seeking help for gambling problems in the state grew from 220 to 240 a month to 260 a month.
