The South Dakota Gaming Commission has punished a Deadwood casino and one of its staff for accepting bets from a person who had asked to be put on the casino’s no-betting list.
The commission on Tuesday approved a $5,000 penalty on Aces Full Inc., doing business as Mr. Wu’s. The casino also reimbursed the person $3,450 that had been lost on bets.
A commission rule adopted in 2022 says that players can voluntarily put themselves on a casino’s exclusion list. This provision is separate from the commission’s exclusion list of people who are banned from all casinos in Deadwood.
