Rivers Casino Philadelphia recently suffered a data breach that may have compromised some people’s personal information. Executives at the Fishtown casino discovered that “an unauthorized actor accessed and/or took certain files stored on our computer servers,” spokesperson Jack Horner said in a statement.
He declined to answer questions about whether the breach impacted customers or employees, how many people might have been affected, what specific information may have been accessed, and when exactly the incident took place.
The casino, located on North Delaware Avenue, is mailing letters to people whose information may have been compromised, Horner said.
A New York law firm, Levi & Korsinsky LLP, released a statement Monday saying its attorneys are investigating whether impacted individuals may be entitled to financial compensation through a class-action lawsuit.
