The Gambling Commission (UKGC) has released research into the overall levels of consumer trust in the gambling industry in Britain.

According to a set of questions incorporated into the Gambling Survey for Great Britain (GSGB), the commission has come up with a composite trust index figure of 47.9%.

This number is drawn from the amount of people that agree or disagree with various statements made about the gambling industry regarding accountability, transparency, corruption, fairness and the protection of the young and vulnerable.

Participants were given eight statements and invited to select a number between one and five indicating the extent to which they agreed.
