The Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling brought together advocates, resources and the community to discuss the growing issue on Wednesday.
The annual conference provides an opportunity for education, resources, and best practices to those working in prevention, research, and to those seeking treatment.
“When you gamble, you don’t know what’s going to happen. You might win, probably not, probably going to lose, but you don’t know what happens and that’s what keeps people coming back,” Diana Goode, executive director at CT Council on Problem Gambling, says.
