Mohegan Sun this week announced it has been honored with the National Council on Problem Gambling’s 2026 Corporate People’s Choice Award in recognition of its “Winning Starts with Responsible Play” campaign. The campaign is a comprehensive initiative designed to promote responsible gaming awareness, connect guests with valuable resources, and empower team members through education and training.
The Corporate People’s Choice Award was presented during the NCPG Annual Conference 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 24, where people and organizations were honored for making contributions to responsible gambling, prevention, treatment, research, recovery, and public awareness.

The “Winning Starts with Responsible Play” campaign is an awareness effort throughout Mohegan Sun and across mohegansun.com. Engaging creative assets and educational messaging encouraged guests to learn about available responsible gaming tools and resources while reinforcing the importance of informed decision-making.
The campaign reached guests and employees through a variety of touchpoints, including:
- Activation on more than 70 digital screens throughout the resort
- Hotel in-room information materials
- Responsible gaming signage at all resort entrances and exits
- Guest Assistance Center resources
- Responsible gaming brochures and information cards throughout Mohegan Sun
- Internal team member communications and training programs
- Digital messaging
- Social media awareness content
- QR codes providing access to multilingual responsible gaming information and resources
Guests also were encouraged to learn about responsible gaming resources, including self-exclusion programs, credit management tools and Connecticut’s 24/7 problem gambling helpline, 1-888-789-7777.
The National Council on Problem Gambling praised the campaign for its effect in raising awareness of responsible gaming resources and available support services.
