Foxwoods Resort Casino broke a world record during a bingo game on the Fourth of July.
The Mashantucket-based casino announced in a news release June 25 that it would hold its Firecracker Bingo event on America’s 250th birthday, featuring a live attempt at breaking the Guinness World Record title for the largest payout for a game of bingo (single bingo house).
During the Fourth of July bingo game, a player named Aaron P. won a $440,000 single cash jackpot, helping the Connecticut casino to break the world record.
The record for largest payout for a game of bingo (single bingo house) previously was held by United Kingdom-based Buzz Bingo in Cricklewood, London.
