The family that owns the Caesars Entertainment casino empire has put a nearly 60-acre estate in California’s Sonoma County with sprawling vineyards overlooking Alexander Valley on the market for $7.975 million.

The Home Ranch was a vacation property for the Carano family—a Reno, Nevada-based gaming and hospitality dynasty that founded the Eldorado Resort Casino—for more than 40 years. The late Don Carano and his wife, Rhonda Carano, purchased the site in 1981, when they launched the original Carano winery in a barn on the property that soon grew into the nearby Ferrari-Carano Vineyard & Winery.

The serene site with acres of vineyards and olive groves is where the couple came to “let their shoulders down” as their businesses grew, said Stephanie Domenichelli of the Agency, who is marketing the property.
