Britain’s highest-paid woman has taken home at least £280m [$378m] despite a sharp drop in profits at her gambling empire.
Denise Coates, the billionaire owner of Bet365, paid herself a salary of £104m in the year to the end of March, up from £95m in 2024.
In addition, Ms Coates’s majority stake in the company means she is entitled to at least half of the £353.6m dividend paid out over the year, taking her total pay packet to at least £280m.
The payout marks an increase on the £158m the 58-year-old took home last year but is short of her record £469m pay deal in 2021.
