Atlantic City’s casinos had a decent March, winning 2.5% more from in-person gamblers than they did a year ago.
But figures released Thursday by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement show that more and more, gambling in New Jersey is becoming an online activity.
It is a trend that is being closely watched as Atlantic City braces for battle with three new casinos in New York City — one of which plans to open within a month — as well as a revised push to ask voters to allow casinos to be built in places other than Atlantic City.
