In the arms race that is the local casino market, properties need to constantly reinvest in their product and come up with the next new thing, lest customers defect to one of their rivals.
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa understands this.
The city’s top-performing casino recently carried out a multimillion-dollar renovation of part of its casino floor, added a new restaurant and a new high-limit gambling area, and made over a popular bar.
Borgata would not put a price tag on the work, but James Bruno, its vice president of casino operations, said the project was the largest revamping of the casino gambling area since the facility opened in 2003.
“The goal is to elevate the gaming experience, particularly for our Asian clientele, which is one of the fast-growing market segments in Atlantic City,” he said.
