When Michael Farber was a hospitality major at Kent State University, one class convinced him to take a gamble and move to Las Vegas.

Farber, a 2015 graduate who works for a beverage distributor in Vegas, said the university’s Casino Management course helped him decide to pursue a career in Sin City.

“It made me know what steps I needed to take,” he said. “It took something that might have been a dream – and now I have a road map to make it happen.”

Most of the students in Kent State University’s Casino Management class are hospitality majors like Farber, but that’s been changing.
