Boomer’s Sportsbook is expanding its footprint in Nevada, while Caesars is set to assume the operations of the Westgate SuperBook on Tuesday.

The Nevada Gaming Commission gave approval for Boomer’s to operate a sportsbook at the Baldini’s Sports Casino in Sparks in northern Nevada and the Longstreet Inn & Casino in the Amargosa Valley near and Death Valley. It also approved Caesars operating the Westgate SuperBook.

Boomer’s CEO Joe Asher said the plan at Baldini’s calls for opening this week after obtaining a local license. It will mark Boomer’s 15th property since launching a year ago.

Asher used the opportunity to announce Boomer’s new SuperBonus promotion for those who sign up with their app, an additional $100 in bonus bets on top of the prior $250 in bonus bets that customers get when they deposit $250 into a new account. He also said they plan to offer -105 on all NFL games again this season.

Baldini’s attempted to operate a sportsbook on their own, but it wasn’t feasible. Their partner, Zensports, left Nevada. It had William Hill at one time.

Las Vegas car dealer Jim Marsh owns the Longstreet Inn & Casino that marks the 16th Boomer’s property licensed.

There has never been a sportsbook at the Longstreet and with the approval, it will have one kiosk. There are no plans for an opening date at this time; a Nye County license must first be obtained. The nearest sportsbook is 37 miles away in Pahrump.

A deal was announced in April for Caesars to take over the operations at the Westgate. The new book will be known as the Westgate SuperBook powered by Caesars Sportsbook. Caesars will oversee race and sportsbook operations and technology and expand wagering options and access, while preserving the identity, scale, and atmosphere that have defined the SuperBook for decades.

There will be 26 kiosks added throughout the property, in addition to ticket writers at the counters. Caesars will open with 20 kiosks, a new addition to the Westgate since Caesars touts that 70% of bets at their properties are made at kiosks with the larger wagers over the counter.

The Westgate made the change to offer its customers more wagering options on Caesars’s technological platform. There will be no formal event to recognize the changeover on Tuesday, just a seamless transition.

“It was my grandfather’s favorite sportsbook,” Commission member Abbi Silver said of the SuperBook. “It ‘s legendary and has great memories every time I go there.”

Krolicki agreed with suggestions that the transition “is a big deal,” calling the Westgate an “iconic space for sports betting.”

Krolicki said his biggest question left unanswered from Eric Hession, the president of Caesars Digital, is what is a flex parlay that the operator is touting as new.

“A flex parlay is a new wager type that we’ve invented. We know in Nevada we’re the only ones who have it,” Hession said. “It’s unique in that it’s difficult to calculate. Others will be able to replicate it. We discussed it with the (Nevada Gaming Control Board) agents, and it’s effectively a round robin. If you have a five-leg parlay, and you hit the flex button, if you miss on one leg or two legs you’ll get paid but get paid less. It’s for someone who is a little bit risk-adverse in their wager or they want to go with a more aggressive multi-leg wager and can hedge that by agreeing to take a lower payment but still get paid out if they don’t hit all the legs of the parlay.”

Hession told Krolicki said it’s expansive, so people can bet on independent games or player props in the same game, over/unders, and wins or losses in the same game.
