October is fast approaching, meaning people in the igaming industry are gearing up for Global Gaming Expo 2023 in Las Vegas, and Canadian industry stakeholders are going to have a big presence at this year’s show Oct. 9-12 at The Venetian Expo.
This year, representatives from more than 100 countries and regions from regulated gaming jurisdictions will be at the event. According to the Canadian Gaming Association, contributing more than $15 billion, gaming is the largest segment of Canada’s entertainment industry, and directly supports more than 135,000 full-time jobs. The Canadian gaming industry is driving industry innovation domestically and internationally, and the size of its presence at G2E befits that status. For attendees, the show is a great networking opportunity and a chance to see what’s next in global gaming, all under one roof. More than 350 exhibitors and companies show off the newest gaming products, technologies and solutions from around the globe.
G2E’s education program will explore what’s next for legal online sports betting and casino gaming in Canada, with Ontario now one of the largest jurisdictions in North America.
G2E is partnering with the CGA to feature a focused session on the Canadian igaming market called “18 Months In: Updates on the Canadian iGaming Market” on Oct. 9, in which a panel of female executives from Canada discuss developments in the industry, what’s next for Ontario, which is the only open, competitive igaming market in the country, and where it all might lead for the rest of Canada.
Martha Otton, executive director of iGaming Ontario; Karin Schnarr, new CEO of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario; Amanda Brewer, Kindred Group country manager for Canada; Shelley White, CEO of the Responsible Gambling Council; and Chantal Cipriano, vice president, legal, compliance and people for PointsBet Canada comprise an all-star panel.
Canadian industry stakeholders also will be speaking on a variety of topics throughout the education sessions, from online sports betting operations to customer/identity verification to ESG to iGaming platforms to tech. Warren Tristram of Nuvei Technologies will participate in “Payment Orchestration: The Ultimate Guide to Optimization” on Oct. 9; Cameron Conn of OneComply will speak at “Tech Forward: Responsible Gaming & Regulatory Compliance” on Oct. 10 and Malorie Robinson and Jim DeMichael of SAS Institute will participate in “Optimizing Player Reinvestment with Machine Learning” on Oct. 11.
Canadian exhibitors will include Eigen Development Ltd., GeoComply Solutions, Jackpot Digital, NRT Technology, Nuvei Technologies, SAS Institute, We Create Entertainment and more.
