BetMGM Wednesday announced the launch of Wheel of Fortune Online Casino in collaboration with International Game Technology. Wheel of Fortune, now live in New Jersey, is the first slot-branded online casino in North America.
“We are thrilled to bring Wheel of Fortune Online Casino to players in New Jersey where they can now play for real money and experience the excitement of the beloved game show on their phones,” said BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt in a statement. “We have a great alliance with Wheel of Fortune and IGT and look forward to offering our players innovative and diverse selections of gaming options.”
In 2022 Wheel of Fortune celebrated its 40th year on television, and its themed slot games have been played at casinos for 25 years.
“Over the last 40 years, the Wheel of Fortune brand has been brought to life in a diverse range of products, including IGT’s extremely successful Wheel of Fortune slots,” said Sony Pictures Television Executive Vice President of Game Shows Suzanne Prete. “Now we’re excited to see BetMGM build on that success and take an innovative approach to bring the game to more players by launching the brand’s first online casino in the U.S.”
IGT has been active in the gaming market this year, forging deals with Ruby Seven Studios to launch a social casino version of Wheel of Fortune and presenting its portfolio of games, cabinets, systems, and solutions at ICE London.
