LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) – A member of the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Commission is asking for the commission to consider adding the game keno.
Keno is an electronic game in which players in restaurants and bars wager on numbers that appear on monitors.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/1a7J0yt ) that Commissioner Dianne Lamberth requested Monday that the group formally look into adding keno after being asked to do so by Democratic state Rep. Mark Perry.
The commission took no formal action on the request – but several members expressed interest in getting opinions from members of the commission’s Legislative Oversight Committee.
Commissioner Ben Pickard noted that there has previously been strong resistance to keno.
