Wynn Resort Monday announced the appointment of Paul Liu to its board of directors. Liu will be an independent director and a Class I member of the board. His appointment was effective August 3, 2023.
Liu was previously based in Shanghai, where he was a partner at Egon Zehnder AG, a global leadership consultancy firm focused on executive search, management assessment, and board advisory. Liu led the services practice in the Asia Pacific region for Egon Zehnder AG, focusing on hotels and hospitality serving multinational and Chinese companies.
Liu also was chief operating officer with Anschutz Entertainment Group China and was a founder and CEO of Three on the Bund, a luxury lifestyle destination located in the Puxi area of Shanghai.
Liu has 14 years of experience in finance at J. P. Morgan, UBS, Peregrine, and Bank of America, in New York and Hong Kong. Since 2005, Liu has worked with the National Committee on founding and organizing the Barnett-Oksenberg Lecture on Sino-American Relations in Shanghai.
