NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — Police are searching for a man in a white car suspected of shooting and killing a woman outside the Resorts World Casino in Queens.
Police say it started as an argument in the parking lot around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday and quickly escalated, CBS2’s Diane Macdeo reported.
People inside the casino at the time said they had no idea anything was wrong until witnesses ran inside and started recounting what happened.
“I was surprised,” one woman said. “Rather surprised, it’s crazy.”
“It’s sad, it’s heartbreaking and it makes you very uncomfortable,” another man said.
The 51-year-old victim died at Jamaica Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. Police are searching for a male suspect in a white Dodge.
In April, the casino was the scene of a brawl involving about two dozen people that resulted in two arrests.
