Last year Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak celebrated his fortieth year as host of the popular game show. This year co-host Vanna White celebrates her 40th Wheel anniversary as another landmark celebration occurs.
IGT and Sony Pictures Television Wednesday announced the 25th anniversary of Wheel of Fortune Slots. To mark the occasion, the syndicated game show will feature Wheel of Fortune Slots on broadcasts during Big Money Week, May 2-6, 2022.
“Concluding a successful, year-long 25th anniversary celebration of IGT’s Wheel of Fortune Slots on the namesake game show during sweeps week represents the phenomenal entertainment value of IGT’s partnership with Sony Pictures Television,” said IGT Vice President of Global Licensing Jennifer Fales in a statement. “Throughout the ‘Big Money’ Week, the game show producers artfully integrated the Wheel of Fortune slots games, while emphasizing their jackpot-paying legacy and giving contestants the opportunity to win big. We hope that players who have enjoyed various iterations of Wheel of Fortune slots games over the last 25 years will have the opportunity to view these special Wheel of Fortune episodes.”
The popular slot game will be represented by way of IGT and MGM Grand-branded wedges on the game show’s iconic wheel, with additional vignettes about the slot game featured. The game show’s premium prize packages will be presented in a partnership with Carnival Cruise Lines, which features Wheel of Fortune slots in its cruise ship casinos.
