Washington: Stillaguamish Tribe donates $488,000 to local fire districts

The Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians this week presented three checks totaling $488,546 to local fire districts near Arlington, Washington. The donations were presented to the Snohomish County Fire District #22  ($168,546), Island County Fire District #1 Camano Island Fire & Rescue ($170,000), and Skagit County Fire District #15 ($150,000).

“The Stillaguamish Tribe is deeply committed to supporting the local community and enhancing public safety,” said Stillaguamish Tribal Chairman Eric White in a statement. “These donations reflect our ongoing dedication to ensuring that our local fire districts have the resources they need to protect and serve our residents effectively. We believe in building strong, resilient communities, and we are honored to contribute to critically helpful causes.”

The donations will fund fire department initiatives that help protect local communities, including the purchase of essential equipment and the improvement of response capabilities.
