Virginia casinos generated $78.5 million in adjusted gaming revenue in June, up 31.9% compared to June 2024.

All three commercial casinos posted year-on-year revenue increases, but Hard Rock Bristol and Caesars Virginia drove the growth, according to the Virginia Lottery.

Hard Rock Bristol recorded revenue of $21.4 million, up 49.4% on the $14.4 million reported last year. Caesars Virginia, the revenue leader for the state, showed a 59.1% revenue rise to $30.6 million from $19.2 million.

Rivers Casino Portsmouth increased 2% from $25.9 million to $26.5 million.

The year-over-year revenue increase was good news for the Virginia government, as the three casinos paid $14.1 million in taxes to state coffers. The money raised is allocated to various programs, including the Problem Gambling Treatment and Support Fund, the Family and Children’s Trust Fund, and the Regional Improvement Commission.

The revenue report comes as a Virginia casino under construction, Live! Casino & Hotel Virginia recently appointed three members of its leadership team.
