The NHL’s gamble to place a hockey team in Las Vegas paid off handsomely, with the Vegas Golden Knights a hit on and off the ice.

Hockey fans can now gamble on the team at South Point Casino. A Vegas Golden Knights-themed slot machine, developed by AGS, was installed at South Point last week.

“We are elated to be the first casino to unveil the Vegas Golden Knights slot game,” South Point Slot Director Cliff Paige said Tuesday in a statement. “(We) look forward to offering our loyal players, many of whom are Las Vegas locals and huge Golden Knights fans, a hockey-themed slot experience based on an enormously popular team.”

Filling space usually allotted for three standard slot games, Vegas Golden Knights is eight feet wide by eight feet tall. It’s designed to offer a “community-style play experience” according to Paige, with a wide seat that can accommodate more than one player. The game features multiplier wilds that can deliver as much as 10x on a single bet, and is located near the Big Sur Oyster Bar at South Point.

AGS, a gaming equipment supplier that develops slots cabinets and games, and proprietary table games, is a corporate partner of the Golden Knights. The company sponsors video replays and highlights during Golden Knights home games at T-Mobile Arena.

AGS Chief Marketing Officer Julia Boguslawski said in a statement that the Vegas Golden Knights game is “the perfect opportunity for AGS to deliver an engaging and highly social gaming experience on an attention-grabbing slot cabinet to capitalize on the team’s enormous popularity and success.”
