USA Today’s Top Workplaces award recognizes 11 gaming industry companies

The gaming industry placed 11 companies on a recent survey, co-sponsored by USA Today and Energage, for the fifth annual Top Workplaces USA awards. The awards were ranked by the number of employees working for the company.

DraftKings was the highest ranked gaming industry-related company, listed at 16th in the 2,500+ employee category. The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, also with 2,500 employees+, ranked 31st.

Also ranked were:

  • Sycuan Casino Resort, El Cajon, California, 2,500 employees+, 56th
  • Station Casinos, Las Vegas, Nevada, 2,500 employees+, 76th
  • Penn Entertainment, Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, 2,500 employees+, 98th
  • Gaming technology supplier AGS, Las Vegas, 500- 999 employees, 99th

Also receiving votes in the survey were:

  • Miccosukee Casino & Resort in Miami, Florida, 500-999 employees
  • Santa Ana Star Casino Resort in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico, 500-999 employees
  • Valley View Casino & Hotel in Valley Center, California, 500-999 employees
  • Viejas Casino & Resort, Alpine, California, 1000-2,499 employees
  • Churchill Downs Incorporated, in Louisville, Kentucky, 150-499 employees

Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp., a mortgage lending company in Madison, Wisconsin, ranked first in the 2,500 employees+ category.

“The award is based solely on the feedback many of you offered through our team member survey administered by Energage,” Station Casinos Senior Vice President of Human Resources Chris Smith said in a statement on the casino’s website. “We want to thank our team members for their input. This achievement would not have been possible without our valued team members.”

The Top Workplaces USA awards are for midsize and large organizations with at least 150 employees, including those with operations in multiple markets.

The Top Workplaces USA awards recognize midsize and large organizations with at least 150 employees, including those with operations in multiple markets. The surveys were conducted throughout 2024.
