TribalHub on Wednesday announced that its sixth annual Cybersecurity Summit has expanded to include a non-technical executive responsibility track designed for leaders across tribal governments, health, gaming, and other tribal enterprises.
The Cybersecurity Summit is scheduled for February 17-20, at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront in Jacksonville, Florida. The event will feature three days of expert-led sessions, hands-on training, and networking opportunities dedicated to strengthening cyber defenses for tribes and tribal enterprises.
“TribalHub’s Cybersecurity Summit isn’t just about cybersecurity education and best practices for technology leaders and professionals; it’s about giving both non-technical executives and technology leaders working for tribal governments the best tools and knowledge to act,” Four Winds Casinos Chief Information Officer & Senior Vice President of IT Matt Moon, who is also a TribalHub Cybersecurity Summit board member, said in a statement. “I’m proud to bring my experiences into the planning and to help shape sessions that speak directly to the needs of our tribal governments and enterprises.”
The Summit is designed by and for professionals across all departments at tribes and tribal enterprises, not just IT or cybersecurity teams. Cyberattacks create ripple effects that extend beyond technology, affecting operations, finances, customers, employees, and community trust.
IT professionals, non-technical executives, and decision-makers will learn about cybersecurity practices and why it is everyone’s responsibility. The event features three tracks curated for every type of leader:
- Executive Responsibility Track – For non-IT executives shaping overall policy and governance. This track provides concise guidance on what executives need to know to effectively support cybersecurity initiatives, protect data, employees, and customers, and foster a culture of cyber awareness throughout the organization.
- Strategic Cybersecurity Track – For all decision-makers and security leaders.
- Cybersecurity in Practice – For technical professionals in the trenches and hands-on.
Including keynote speakers, a charity golf event, hands-on technical threat hunting workshops, a cyber vendor expo, Tribal-ISAC working groups, and beneficial networking events, the Cybersecurity Summit provides information for anyone working in tribal governments and enterprises.
