So the announcement this week that theScore Bet is expanding their sportsbook and casino-betting options with the debut of Parlay+, Gotta Go Jackpots, and Live Casino Studio not unexpected.

TheScore Bet believes that their ability to operate a vertically integrated technology stack, including a risk and trading platform, player-account management system, and promotion engine, custom built by their own engineering team, gives them a competitive advantage in the sports-betting and digital-casino market.

The technology was deployed in Ontario in July and will be migrating to the platform for Barstool Sportsbook in the U.S. sometime in the summer of 2023.

“The completion of theScore Bet’s technology stack is a milestone accomplishment that significantly strengthens our online-betting capabilities, mobile-product offerings, and overall integrated-media-and-betting ecosystem,” said Jay Snowden, CEO and President, Penn National Gaming Inc., in July. TheScore bet is a subsidiary of Penn.

“This vertically integrated platform will increase our ability to engage and retain customers, drive more flexible pricing, provide valuable savings on third-party platform costs, and allow us to deliver the most personalized product experience in the market.”

John Levy, CEO of theScore, said that achieving technology independence, maximizing speed and efficiency to roll out new features, wagering options, and innovations, remains a core priority of the company.

Parlay+ for sports betting allows players to mix and match lines and player props from the same game. Presently, that covers the major sports leagues, with additional sports and leagues being added in the months ahead.

Gotta Go Jackpots is the first and only daily jackpot in Ontario that drops every day before 11 a.m. It starts at $25,000 and rolls over every day on which a winner isn’t drawn.

The Live Casino Studio offers blackjack and roulette tables exclusive to theScore Bet players.

According to theScore Bet, the technology stack offers 10 times the betting options, including increased in-game wagering and event props and an expanded library of markets.
