Tachi Palace Casino Resort in Lemoore, California, announced today that starting tomorrow, the casino will be non-smoking. According to General Manager Michael Olujic, the temporary policy is for the safety of guests and employees in light of COVID-19. Masks are required and by eliminating smoking, guests must leave their masks on at all times; it also assists in maintaining air quality. Designated smoking areas will be available outside at each entrance.

Earlier this week, Tachi Palace canceled its annual Fourth of July fireworks show “in an effort to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and due to the state of California prohibiting large gatherings.”

Tachi Palace, owned and operated by Tachi-Yokut Tribe on the Santa Rosa Rancheria, reopened in two phases, slot machines in the first phase on May 28, table games in the second two weeks later.
