The Sun Belt Conference Thursday announced a partnership with U.S. Integrity and ProhiBet to monitor sports wagering and provide educational resources to student athletes, plus coaches, staff, and officials.
“The Sun Belt Conference is dedicated to safeguarding the integrity of competition across all of our sponsored sports,” said Sun Belt Conference Commissioner Keith Gill in a statement. “Our partnership with U.S. Integrity and ProhiBet underscores this commitment—particularly given the current landscape of sports wagering in our industry.”
U.S. Integrity and ProhiBet will provide the Sun Belt Conference’s 14 schools with access to U.S. Integrity’s monitoring software and resources. Resources include education for athletes, coaches, staff, and officials; weekly integrity monitoring across all sports; and access to the ProhiBet system, an encrypted decentralized cross-monitoring and notification platform designed to safeguard sports integrity and ensure adherence to state-specific regulations.
“The combination of ProhiBet’s encrypted data-transfer system and the Sun Belt Conference’s dedication to the integrity of sport will undoubtedly enhance the transparency and trustworthiness of sports-wagering activities,” said ProhiBet Managing Director Matt Heap, former head of the Colorado Division of Gaming’s sportsbook operations.
The Sun Belt Conference consists of 14 colleges and universities in 10 contiguous states. Members include Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, James Madison, Louisiana, ULM, Marshall, Old Dominion, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Texas State and Troy. The conference hosts 20 collegiate sports.
ProhiBet is a joint venture between U.S. Integrity and Odds On Compliance.
