Vancouver-based Strive Gaming has announced a major round of funding, led by sports-betting-supplier OpenBet. Strive Gaming is a player-account management (PAM) platform in the U.S. igaming market and this funding will help push their expansion plans there.

OpenBet in return received a minority stake in the company. Knutsson Holdings AB also participated in the funding round, along with specialist gaming fund Astralis Capital Management and Betsson, a seed investor in Strive Gaming when the company was founded in 2021.

Strive Gaming’s proprietary PAM technology will now be integrated into the OpenBet sports-betting solution, a collaboration and combined platform that will push both companies forward, including into more tribal-gaming markets. Included will be regulatory-compliance features from Neccton, which was acquired by OpenBet last year.

OpenBet CEO Jordan Levin said he expects the investment will unlock “major new opportunities” for his company as a global industry supplier.

“With the strength of Strive Gaming’s PAM as a future-proofed solution for the U.S. market, combined with OpenBet’s high standards, we can offer U.S. operators a fully integrated turnkey proposition that will fuel responsible betting experiences,” he said in a statement. “This new partnership sparks a new chapter in our history.”

The deal is OpenBet’s first move into igaming since separating from Light & Wonder in 2022.

Strive Gaming will continue to operate independently, led by CEO Max Meltzer. The company will work to secure licenses in all U.S. regulated igaming states, while improving its PAM technology and online-casino suite.

Strive currently works with Four Winds Casino, Golden Nugget (DraftKings), Desert Diamond, and Betsafe (owned by Betsson) in the U.S., as well as PointsBet Canada, collaborating with that company to develop its online-casino platform in the regulated Ontario market.

“Together, OpenBet and Strive Gaming have expertise across the entire betting industry, combined with strong tech and talent,” Meltzer said in a statement.
